This publication highlights education programs funded by the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation. Included in an article, is a large photo of myself with Valencia Middle School children in an afterschool program for rual and under-privlidged schools. I taught a class that focused on using soil to build a working adobe oven (horno) that was sculpted into a wildcat. In this photo we are making test adobe bricks that we dried and broke to learn about the optimum adobe mixture for our cob oven.

I have organized many similar oven building and adobe construction workshops for schools and community centers in the Tucson / Phoenix area with up to 130 students and staff per project.
